For three years prior to re-launching JPI Enterprises, John Indrigo was Vice President of Business Development with RelayHealth, a division of McKesson Technology Solutions focused on the healthcare revenue cycle IT space. In that role, which followed assignments as Vice President, Marketing and then Vice President, Product Management, John successfully engineered the acquisitions as well as establishing business partnership relationships with a number of companies whose new technologies extended RelayHealth’s product portfolio. Several of those new technologies are currently among the highest volume new sales products in RelayHealth’s portfolio. John was also responsible for managing the relationship of RelayHealth’s top 100 customers, which represented 30% of the organization’s recurring revenue stream and from which he garnered and assessed customer demand for new technologies and applications.
Prior to joining McKesson (via the Per-Se acquisition), John was President of Omega Health Systems. As a result of that company’s merger with Caremedic Systems, he was Chief Operating Officer of the combined company which operated -and is operating today- as Caremedic Systems, a healthcare revenue cycle IT and services company. As COO, John was responsible for integration of the two companies' operations, rationalizing the product line, and ensuring all financial goals were met.
At Omega Health Systems, which he joined as Vice President of Marketing and was elected President two years later, he successfully changed the business model from one-time software sales to that of a recurring revenue model. He was also successful in managing the transition of the distribution model from one of complete reliance on business partners to one that included direct sales as well as partners. A continuous stream of new products were introduced under his leadership, driving increases in recurring revenue and net income, and leading to the company’s best financial performance ever in 2004.
Prior to Omega John was a senior level executive with The Medical Manager division of WebMD (now Emdeon), where he was responsible for the launch of the company’s electronic data interchange business, and for managing the infrastructure to support 500+ customer service agents across 23 locations. In a three-year period the newly launched EDI business enrolled 35,000 physicians and was enrolling new physicians at the rate of 1,000 per month.
From 1991 through 1997 John held a number of senior management positions with CIS Technologies/NDCHealth. These positions were based in Dallas, Tulsa and Orlando. Assignments included senior-level positions in field operations, marketing, customer operations and then general management of an acquired subsidiary. His responsibilities included new product launches, implementing a Quality initiative, directing a staff of 100+ professionals in delivery and support and many others.
From 1984 through 1991 John was with InfoStat, Inc, in Dallas, where he was CEO from 1998 through it sale to CHC in Houston in 1991. InfoStat was an early-stage new generation HIS company. While at InfoStat John was successful in winding down an unprofitable relationship with AT&T, and negotiating new distribution relationships with IBM, HP, and others. During his tenure as CEO John led the company to its first two years of profitability, leading to a 300% return to mid-stage investors when the company was sold.
John has spent virtually his entire 30+ year career in the healthcare revenue cycle space, with senior management operating experience in both small private companies and large public companies, as well as M&A experience on both the buy and sell sides, and has successfully managed integration efforts post-acquisition.
John earned his Bachelor's Degree at New York University and currently resides in the Tampa area. JPI Enterprises LLC has active engagements with a number of organizations in healthcare revenue cycle in the functional areas of:
- Distribution/business development
- Margin improvement
- RFI/RFP vendor selection
- Contract negotiation/renegotiation
