George M. Giorgianni Senior Director of Surgical System Sales and Business Development Mr. Giorgianni has extensive healthcare experience in sales, sales leadership, marketing, and business development with HBOC (now McKesson), CliniComp, Eclipsys, Surgical Information Systems (SIS), and DocuSys.

In his last two executive-level positions at SIS and at DocuSys, Mr. Giorgianni led sales, marketing, and business development enabling both of these companies to achieve a leadership position in each of their market segments. Mr. Giorgianni has extensive experience in the perioperative market segment achieved from not only leading SIS and DocuSys but from engaging with perioperative system consultants, writing articles focusing on perioperative solutions, developing return on investment (ROI) studies, and speaking to hundreds of hospitals about the value of automating the perioperative business.

Mr. Giorgianni has also gained extensive experience in the Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), EMR and CPOE market segment as well as the International market where he led HBOC’s efforts in the UK. Mr. Giorgianni has also been the President and CEO of AKG Associates, which is a boutique healthcare consulting firm, which has been involved with Imaging and PACS, Digital Dashboard Decision Support, Health Information Systems, and Consulting. Prior to joining the vendor community, Mr. Giorgianni was an Assistant Administrator at two hospitals in Florida where he led the clinical departments at both facilities.

Mr. Giorgianni earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health and Hospital Administration from the University of Florida.
