1986 Incorporated as Extend-A-Care Professional Systems, Inc. (EPS) specializing in healthcare information systems software. 

Introduced Guardian PC Lan-based and minicomputer-based product for long-term care portion of the healthcare industry.
1989 Merged with Graycross Professional Services, Inc., a software/consulting firm specializing in client/server systems; developer of A*SET.
1990 First A*SET sale and first A*SET VAR agreement

EPS signs major systems integration contract with large hardware vendor.
1991 First healthcare information system VAR agreement and first healthcare software distributor for USA products. 

EPS ports Guardian to AS/400 environment.


First software license sale of hospital clinical information system developed with A*SET, using modified 32-bit DOS workstations with UNIX servers and EMPRES RDBMS.
1992

Name changed to Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA) 

First healthcare multi-facility RMS (scheduling system) customer.

First software RAD tool to generate 32-bit mission critical applications on a Microsoft server platform.

1993

First software vendor to offer 100% compatibility between NT and UNIX servers.

USA provides financial systems to commercial and government markets.

1994 Unibased is first company to generate 32-bit Microsoft Windows 95 operating system applications with a rapid application development tool. 

USA signs major agreement and provides system to large metropolitan area law enforcement agency.

1995 Obtained first major (Fortune 100) distributor of USA products and dedicates corporate focus on major healthcare providers.
1996 Healthcare customer base reaches 50 facilities.
1997 USA introduces the Patient Access Management System
(PAMS).  USA teams with Superior Consultant Company, Inc. for enterprise scheduling.
1998

Selected to St. Louis region Technology Fast 50 for five year revenue growth record for first time.

Customer base reaches 100 healthcare facilities and healthcare VARs in excess of 200.

1999

USA introduces periOperative Resource Management System (ORMS), integrated with RMS and PAMS.

Selected as “Best Vendor” and “Best Product” by independent survey of 2000 CIO’s in the healthcare information systems market.

2000 USA introduces Perioperative Charting System (PCS).

Ranked number one for the second year in a row by independent survey of 2000 CIO's in the Healthcare Information Systems market.

2001 USA signs first ORMS/PCS contract independent of RMS.

USA provides special assistance to Airport Terminal Services (ATS) after 9/11/01 disaster.

USA is again recognized for excellence by independent survey, in the top 20 of the healthcare information technology industry and #1 in enterprise scheduling.

ORMS exceeds ten contracts and twenty installations completed.  

2002 USA completes total revision of financial application systems for commercial market.

USA announces Enterprise Training and Tracking System (ET2S) for HIPAA compliance.

USA's RMS listed as fourth overall in the KLAS Top 20 report in June, and ORMS also mentioned in the surgical system category. USA listed as the first company not specializing in the ambulatory care market.

2003 USA was positioned 1st as the “Best in KLAS” in two different market solution categories, including Enterprise Scheduling and Surgery Management. In the entire history of KLAS reporting, this is the first time a vendor has been positioned 1st in both of these categories simultaneously. In addition, USA was listed as second of the 300 vendors considered for all markets.
2004 USA’s Resource Management System (RMS) and periOperative Resource Management System (ORMS) continues to dominate the KLAS independent surveys.
  USA is the highest rated vendor, with the highest ranked products in the 2004 TOP 20: YEAR-END BEST IN KLAS” REPORT for General Market Solutions.
2005 In the 2005 Top 20 Year-End Best in KLAS Report (published annually), USA is rated the BEST VENDOR OVERALL among all vendors considered.  In addition, Unibased earned the #1 position in two different market solution categories; Enterprise Scheduling and Surgery Management.
2006 Created the Executive Consulting Division to provide revenue cycle consulting services for USA customers.  In addition, general strategic executive consulting services are available for both customers and the general healthcare market.
  In the 2006, “TOP 20: Year-End Best in KLAS” Report USA is AGAIN positioned 1st as the category leader in both Enterprise Scheduling and Surgery Management.  USA products and services have been ranked within the top 10 of all 750 vendor-products evaluated annually, since year 2000.
